Reisterstown, MD Movers

Reisterstown is one of the oldest communities in northwest Baltimore County, founded in 1758 when John Reister opened a tavern on the road that became Reisterstown Road. It is not an incorporated town, so the county handles permits, trash pickup, and parks. About 25,600 people live here today, between Owings Mills to the south and the Carroll County line to the north, and part of the community crosses into Carroll County. The center of town is the Reisterstown Historic District, with older homes and shops along Main Street. Away from Main Street, most of Reisterstown is split-levels, colonials, ranch homes, and townhome communities. Townhomes often have shared parking lots and several sets of stairs, and some HOAs set rules on move hours and trucks. About two-thirds of homes here are owner-occupied, so we see a lot of full-house moves with basements and garages to pack.
